Wisconsin Kicker Rafael Gaglianone Out For Season After Back Surgery

Rafael Gaglianone, a three year starter at kicker for the Wisconsin Badgers, is out for the season after back surgery.

Gaglianone, who is 7-for-8 this season and 10-for-10 on extra points for the Badgers, will miss the remainder of the season. He did not kick in the 30-6 win over Michigan State.

Gaglianone looked hobbled against Georgia State, the last game he kicked in, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. He had his only missed field goal of the season against the Panthers.

Senior Andrew Endicott, who had previously handled kickoff duties for the Badgers, is in line to handle field goal duties for the rest of the season. He hit his only field goal against the Spartans, a 41-yard kick, and was 3-for-4 on extra points.

Last season, Gaglianone was 18-for-27 on field goals and a perfect 40-for-40 on extra points. He had his best full season in 2014, hitting 19-of-22 field goals and 59-of-61 extra points as a freshman.
