Report: 4-Star Running Back Jordan Stevenson Denied Admission To Wisconsin, Will Receive Release

Four-star Dallas running back Jordan Stevenson really wanted to be a Wisconsin Badger. Stevenson, who ranks No. 17 among all running backs in the class of 2015 according to 247Sports, committed to the Badgers between the departure of coach Gary Anderson, who left Madison for Oregon State, and the hiring of former Pitt head coach Paul Chryst. According to a 247Sports report, his college career will have to begin elsewhere, as he has been denied admission to the school.

Badgers coach Paul Chryst and running backs coach John Settle both spoke to Stevenson this afternoon and informed him that Wisconsin's Chancellor denied the student-athlete admissions.

247Sports.com has confirmed this situation through a source on both ends.

Stevenson will receive his release from Wisconsin in the morning and be eligible to attend a new school of his choice as he's an NCAA qualifier.

Stevenson has tweeted about the news, saying that his recruitment is open.
