There were some poor performances on Wisconsin in their 34-21 loss to Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship Game. But Badgers star running back Jonathan Taylor wasn’t one of them.
The junior running back rushed 20 times for 148 yards and a touchdown in the losing effort.
And Taylor’s stellar performance did not go unnoticed by one of the college coaching greats.
Taking to Twitter on Sunday, former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer gave his props to Taylor for his performance.

For much of the 2019 season, Taylor has been the best running back in college football. His 279 rushes for 1,761 yards and 20 touchdowns are all top five in FBS.
He’s only a junior, though, and if he decides to play his final year he has a legitimate chance to challenge school legend Ron Dayne for college football’s all-time leading rushing title.
But Taylor is going to have a lot of NFL interest heading into 2020.
And with Urban Meyer’s endorsement, NFL teams are going to be eager to draft him in the first round this year.
For now though, Taylor has to prepare for bowl season.
