What Seed Did Wisconsin Get In The 2014 NCAA Tournament?

Seed: For the upcoming 2014 NCAA Tournament, the Wisconsin Badgers were given a 2-seed in the West-region. They are coached by Bo Ryan and hail from the Big Ten.

You can view the entire 2014 NCAA Tournament field here in our official bracket.

Where: They will open play against American in Milwaukee on Thursday.

Why: Wisconsin finished the regular season with an 12-6 record in the Big Ten, finishing second behind conference champion Michigan. The Badgers posted notable victories over Florida, Saint Louis, Virginia, Michigan, Michigan State, and Iowa (twice).

Ceiling: Wisconsin opened the season 16-0 before dropping five of six early on in Big Ten play. The Badgers rebounded to win eight straight at the end of the Big Ten schedule before dropping the regular season finale to upstart Nebraska. Wisconsin is a dangerous shooting team as always, with Frank Kaminsky and Josh Gasser both hitting over 40% of their shots from three point range. Kaminsky, Gasser, Sam Dekker, Ben Brust, Traevon Jackson, and Nigel Hayes all score at least eight points a game, giving Wisconsin a very balanced offense. Many think that this is Bo Ryan's best team at Wisconsin, and it just may be the one to get him to the Final Four.
