Hornibrook replaced senior quarterback Bart Houston last week as the Badgers struggled to get a win over Georgia State. Hornibrook completed 8-of-12 for 122 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Houston was just 10-of-18 passing for 91 yards while rushing three times for 14 yards before being yanked early in the third quarter.
The Badgers took a 6-3 lead into halftime and escaped with a 23-17 win even though they were 35-point favorites entering the contest.
Hornibrook will have a difficult test as the Badgers head to East Lansing to take on No. 8 Michigan State. The Spartans have taken the last four contests against the Badgers and enter as a 6-point favorite against No. 11 Wisconsin.
