Wisconsin Lands Wisconsin-Green Bay Transfer G Trevor Anderson

Wisconsin basketball didn't have to go far to land an impact transfer this spring.

Wisconsin-Green Bay freshman point guard Trevor Anderson will be taking a step up in competition at his new school. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound floor general is transferring to Wisconsin.

Anderson announced the news on Twitter this afternoon. He'll have to sit out next season and has three years of eligibility remaining.

A three-star recruit out of Stevens Point (Wisc.) Area Senior, Anderson chose Wisconsin-Green Bay over Albany, Drake, Lafayette, Lehigh, South Dakota, South Dakota State and Toledo.

He averaged 9.8 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 28.5 minutes per game for the Phoenix this past season. He had three points, four rebounds and one assist in 33 minutes of action in an early-season loss to Wisconsin.

The Badgers finished the 2016-17 campaign with a 27-10 record and reached the Sweet Sixteen for the fourth-straight year.
