The good news for Wisconsin: the Badgers blanked Michigan State today, 38-0. The bad? They’re probably done with games against teams from Michigan for the year.
Games against teams from the Great Lake State have gone very well for the Badgers in 2019. Undefeated Wisconsin is 3-0 in those games, winning by a combined 134-14.
Michigan did all of its damage in the second half, with the game largely in hand. The other two teams failed to score altogether.
After today’s win over the Spartans, Wisconsin is looking to take its supremacy over the state to the next level. The Badgers football Twitter account declared that it wants the deed to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, the piece of land jutting into the great lakes.
The Upper Peninsula is connected to Wisconsin, and not Michigan, so you can see where this joke stems from.
Wisconsin 61, Central Michigan 0
Wisconsin 35, Michigan 14
Wisconsin 38, Michigan State 0
Send us the deed, @UpperPeninsula

I’m not sure how the Youpees are going to take this declaration. The Twitter account has mostly been focused on fall foliage today, not the happenings on the gridiron.
Also, whatever is going on here…
This better not be one of my bays, I raised them better than that. https://t.co/BXf5kf78rx

Wisconsin gets Illinois next week, which shouldn’t be a huge challenge, though the Illini had a huge comeback and gave Michigan a scare today, before the Wolverines pulled away. That may say more about the Wolverines than the Illini though.
After that, the Badgers have a date with Ohio State, in what is really looking like a Big Ten title game preview.
Wisconsin is a pretty consistent team, and tend to find themselves in the mix in the Big Ten, but this year’s team actually looks like it might contend for the College Football playoff.
