It appears that Melvin Gordon will play one more game for the Wisconsin Badgers. During his appearance on The Dan Patrick Show today, Wisconsin’s All-American back said that he plans on declaring for the 2015 NFL Draft at the end of the year.
Dan – “So that’s official…you’re coming out (for the draft)…playing in the Outback Bowl and going to the Heisman?”…Melvin Gordon “Yep”

The redshirt junior will certainly be a highly sought-after player in the pros. ESPN’s Mel Kiper ranks him as the top running back prospect and the 16th overall player in the upcoming draft.
Gordon was spectacular this year, as he ran for 2,336 yards and 26 touchdowns. He set the NCAA record for the most rushing yards in a game — only to have it broken a week later — as he shredded Nebraska’s defense for 408 yards. For his career, Gordon has ran for 4,664 yards and 42 touchdowns.
Wisconsin will square off with Auburn in the Outback Bowl on Jan. 1, 2015. The game is scheduled to kick off at 12:00 P.M. EST, and you can watch it on ESPN2.
