There are only a couple of weeks remaining in the college football regular season.
Using its Football Power Index (FPI), ESPN determined the 12 schools that have the toughest remaining schedules.
Here’s a look at how the FPI is calculated:
The Football Power Index (FPI) is a measure of team strength that is meant to be the best predictor of a team’s performance going forward for the rest of the season. FPI represents how many points above or below average a team is. Projected results are based on 10,000 simulations of the rest of the season using FPI, results to date, and the remaining schedule. Ratings and projections update daily.
According to ESPN, three programs from the SEC and three from the ACC have a tough final two weeks. A pair of Big 12 schools also have their work cut out for them, as do a pair of Big Ten teams. Rounding out the list is one team from the Pac-12 and another Independent.
