The Buckeyes appear to be putting together another elite class.
Ohio State landed its fifth commitment of the 2018 class on Sunday night. Taron Vincent, the No. 1 defensive tackle in the class, pledged to the Buckeyes.
Urban Meyer now has 2018 commitments from:
- The No. 1 defensive tackle
- The No. 2 quarterback
- The No. 3 safety
- The No. 3 all-purpose back
- The No. 4 running back
Despite just having five commitments, Ohio State's class already ranks No. 7 in the country with an average commitment rating of 98.09 - by far the highest of any class.
More big-time commitments are likely on the way.
Perhaps one will come from Teradja Mitchell, a five-star prospect and the No. 2 linebacker in the class.
The Virginia Beach native is impressed with the class Ohio State is putting together.
Mitchell, a 6-foot-2, 232-pound prospect out of Bishop Sullivan Catholic, is ranked the No. 21 player in the 2018 class by 247Sports' Composite Rankings. He's also considering Alabama, Clemson, Florida State and LSU, among other programs.
