3 Teams Received A First-Place Vote In The Preseason AP Top 25
The 2018 preseason AP Poll came out Monday, and as we all expected, the Alabama Crimson Tide opens the season at No. 1. Alabama did not receive every first place vote, however.
Alabama, despite not knowing which quarterback it'll be starting opening day, notched 42 of the 61 first place votes. Clemson, which was knocked off by the Tide in the College Football Playoff a year ago, got 18 first place votes.
The last first place vote? Wisconsin, which lost the Big Ten title game to Ohio State last year, is the best team in the country, according to one voter.
Ohio State did not receive any first place votes - likely because of the uncertainty surrounding the program at the moment.
Here's the entire poll, with the first place votes included:
- Alabama (42)
- Clemson (18)
- Georgia
- Wisconsin (1)
- Ohio State
