Port Orange (Fla.) Spruce Creek three-star running back Marvin Scott III is off the board. Scott has committed to Wake Forest.
The 2020 recruit announced his pledge this afternoon. He chose the Demon Deacons over offers from Appalachian State, Louisville, Marshall and North Carolina.
“I want to thank God for doing all he has done and what he is still doing in my life!” Scott wrote. “I’m thankful for having a very loving and supportive family. Much appreciation goes out to my coaching staff and my teammates.
“After talking things over with my family I’ve decided to commit to Wake Forest University!”

Scott is the No. 44 running back in the 2020 class, according to 247Sports’ proprietary rankings. He is not included in any composite rankings yet.
He is also the fourth commit for the Demon Deacons in the 2020 cycle.
