Jackson just revealed his decision.

Boling (Tex.) three-star defensive end Vernon Jackson announced his commitment to the Crimson Tide during a ceremony at his high school.

The 6-foot-3, 240-pound Jackson is the No. 17 athlete in the 2018 class, according to 247Sports’ Composite Rankings. Jackson also plays quarterback.
Nick Saban doesn’t recruit according to anybody else’s star rankings, so while it may seem odd that Alabama landed a three-star as opposed to their typical fours and fives, clearly Saban likes his ability and what he can become. Alabama has three other composite three-star prospects in their 2018 class.
