Georgia is reportedly set to lose five-star freshman quarterback Justin Fields to a transfer. USA TODAY reported the news of his impending departure on Monday evening and it's since been confirmed by other outlets.

The dual-threat QB might not be the only former top recruit the Bulldogs lose to a transfer this season.

Four-star freshman tight end Luke Ford is reportedly in the NCAA's "transfer portal."

Georgia had said on Monday afternoon that Ford was away from the team, but should return for the Bulldogs' bowl game.

Fields, however, is not currently in the transfer portal.

"As of early this afternoon, Justin Fields was not in the NCAA transfer portal, according to someone with direct knowledge, but freshman tight end Luke Ford is in the portal. Fields still expected to be in the portal sometime today," Seth Emerson reports.

Ford was an All-American tight end coming out of high school last year. He was ranked the No. 3 TE in the class by 247Sports' Composite Rankings.
