4-Star LB Dallas Gant Releases Loaded Top 5, Announces Commitment Date

A top linebacker recruit released his top five and announced his commitment date.

I'f you're wondering when Dallas Gant will announce his commitment, wonder no longer. The 4-star recruit took to Twitter to announce the five schools he is deciding between, and announced when his will commit. Fittingly, the Toledo native will commit on May 16, his birthday.

So we know when he will commit, but who are the schools still in contention to land the elite linebacker?

According to Gant announcement, Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Penn State, and Ohio State are all in contention to land the top prospect.

According to 247Sports' Composite Rankings, Gant is the No. 5 outside linebacker recruit in the 2018 recruiting class and the No. 4 recruit in the state of Ohio. The 4-star recruit is predicted to land at Ohio State, according to 247Sports' Crystal Ball predictions, but it's still up in the air as of right now.

At 6-foot-3, 225 pounds, Gant already has the size to compete at the collegiate level. Gant received over 20 collegiate offers, and after much deliberating, seems to be on the final stretch towards deciding where he will play his college ball.

The Big Ten could be receiving a great linebacker recruit, or Notre Dame will steal yet another from the conference.
