Here are the apparent favorites for the top quarterback recruit.
Justin Fields is now the most-coveted quarterback recruit in the country.
The five-star dual-threat QB, ranked the No. 2 QB in the class by 247Sports' Composite Rankings, de-committed from Penn State earlier this week.
Fields is expected to land somewhere in the ACC or SEC.
According to SEC Country, there are three apparent favorites for the star prospect.
At this time, Fields’ recruitment is expected to come down to Auburn, Florida and Florida State. His father is a fan of Louisville and Tennessee but said his son isn’t considering either of those schools.
Fields will look at three factors when evaluating his options in the coming months.
“The most important factor is how well I fit into the academics,” the Elite 11 finalist said. “Also, how the family environment is there and just having a great relationship with the coaches.”
Following his decommitment, predictions for Florida on 247Sports' "Crystal Ball" have been rolling in at a high rate. The Gators are currently the presumed favorite, per the Crystal Ball.
The 6-foot-3 quarterback out of Georgia is the country's No. 6 overall recruit.
