Tate Martell, the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback in the 2017 recruiting class, set off quite the chain reaction late Wednesday night into Thursday morning when he announced his decommitment from Texas A&M. Everything you can imagine was part of the drama: an assistant coach subtweeting a recruit's decision, another decommitment stemming from that subtweet, people tweeting mean things at Martell's sister, etc..
Late Thursday night, once the dust had settled, Martell decided to release an update regarding his recruitment.
Martell holds several offers from major college football programs, and is believed to be an Ohio State lead according to 247 Sports' crystal ball. But many people believe he's waiting for an offer from the Oregon Ducks. Either way you look at it, this story is far from over. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
