Urban Meyer is currently on paid administrative leave at Ohio State and the Buckeyes' head coach's future in Columbus is very much in question following the bombshell report by college football insider Brett McMurphy.

Meyer has released a statement, admitting to knowing about the domestic violence allegations against Zach Smith in 2015, but he claims to have handled them following protocol.

It's unclear at this point how Ohio State's program will be affected moving forward.

However, one five-star recruit has already made a significant announcement in the wake of the Urban Meyer news.

Julian Fleming, the No. 1 wide receiver in the 2020 recruiting class, was thought by some experts to be an Ohio State lean at this point in his recruitment. He tweeted shortly after Ohio State's Urban Meyer announcement that his recruitment is now open.

Rivals.com recruiting analyst Adam Friedman then tweeted the following in reaction to the news: "The timing of this announcement from 2020 #Rivals100 WR Julian Fleming certainly seems related to everything going on at #OhioState," he wrote.

Fleming was then asked by a fan on Twitter if his tweet meant that . he was previously leaning toward going to Ohio State. However, he says that's not the case, but he is now considering all programs after previously naming a top schools list.

Ohio State has consistently brought in top classes under Urban Meyer. It will be interesting to see how the Buckeyes' recruiting is affected moving forward regardless of what happens with Meyer.
