6 Schools Named Best Options For 5-Star QB Transfer Justin Fields

Justin Fields, a five-star freshman quarterback and the No. 1 dual-threat recruit in the 2018 class, is reportedly planning on leaving Georgia.

USA TODAY reported on Monday night that Fields was planning a transfer out of Georgia. ESPN later reported that Fields had yet to officially make a decision, though a transfer was possible.

Several major programs have been named potential options for Fields.

Sporting News named six schools good fits for Fields this morning.

The best bets, per Sporting News, are:

  • Ohio State
  • Florida State
  • Penn State

The three other solid options:

  • Auburn
  • Mississippi State
  • Oklahoma

The Toledo Blade reported this morning that Ohio State was emerging as the frontrunner:

ESPN, meanwhile, reported on Monday night that Fields was planning on considering Ohio State, Florida State and Oklahoma.

It's possible that Fields won't end up making a transfer decision until after Georgia's bowl game.
