A 7th Grade Quarterback Has Received A Scholarship Offer From Lane Kiffin

A quarterback who's five-plus years away from college has received his first scholarship offer.

A 13-year-old, seventh-grade quarterback has received a Division 1 scholarship offer.

It's from Lane Kiffin.

Bruce Feldman of Fox Sports reports that Kaden Martin, the son of USC offensive coordinator and former Tennessee QB Tee Martin, has received a scholarship offer from FAU.

From Feldman:

Tee Martin's 13-year-old son, Kaden Martin, a 7th grade QB, has received his first college football scholarship offer. It's from FAU and the Owls new head coach Lane Kiffin, according to sources.

The 5-11, 175-pound Martin is at Adams Middle School in Redondo Beach, CA. He's also a promising pitcher in baseball whose fastball has been clocked in the 80s. His dad led Tennessee to the 1998 BCS National Title and he spent time as a QB in the NFL before becoming a coach. The elder Martin worked under Kiffin at USC and is now the Trojans offensive coordinator.

Kaden's father, Tee Martin, starred at Tennessee and was a fifth-round pick by the New York Giants in the 2000 NFL Draft. He spent a couple of seasons in the league and NFL Europe before going into coaching.
