Arrest warrants were reportedly issued for Parrish Cobb.
Arrest warrants identified Oklahoma cornerback Parrish Cobb as the suspect in a Jan. 10 Bellmead, TX armed robbery. According to the Waco Tribune, Cobb was issued arrest warrants, charging him with aggravated robbery in Waco, TX and Bellmead.
Cobb's attorney, John Lewis, issued a statement to the Waco Tribune:
“We are aware that an arrest warrant has been issued and are making arrangements for Mr. Cobb to turn himself in. We look forward to addressing these allegations at the appropriate time.”
The report suggests Bellmead police were called to the the scene around 11:20 p.m. on Jan. 10, after a 27-year-old Long-view man stopped at a convenience store and was robbed at gunpoint.
A passenger reportedly approached the Longview man, brandished a gun, and robbed the man. The suspect then got back into a dark-colored vehicle and left. Local police office Sgt. Kory Martin issued the following statement:
“We believe Cobb participated in the armed robbery."
Cobb, a freshman, played in four games for the Sooners this season.
