Alabama vs. Tennessee preview:

Alabama enters this game as the No. 1 team in the country. The Tide have won three games against ranked opponents so far this year, including last week's 49-30 win over No. 16 Arkansas. Alabama escaped with a victory in a close game against Ole Miss in the third week of the season, and sit at 6-0 overall.

Tennessee looked like the team of destiny entering its game against Texas A&M last week. The Volunteers luck ran out against the Aggies as Texas A&M won a tight 45-38 overtime game. The Vols were 5-0 entering that matchup and had several come-from-behind victories, including overcoming a 21-point deficit against Florida.

Alabama and Tennessee have played 97 times in history, with the Tide owning a 52-38-7 advantage.

Alabama vs. Tennessee prediction:

Tennessee suffered its first loss of the season last week at the hands of Texas A&M. It doesn't get any easier for the Vols, who now have to play No. 1 Alabama. The game is at home for the Vols, but that won't matter. Alabama is just too good on both sides of the ball for Tennessee to matchup.

The Tide's defensive front seven is the best in college football, and Tennessee will need a superhero performance from quarterback Josh Dobbs to get a win. The Volunteers won't get it.
