Alabama's 2018 Schedule Is Among The Easiest In The Country
Where does your team rank in the 2018 strength of schedule rankings? Probably, higher than where Alabama ranks.
Noted college football expert Phil Steele has published his 2018 strength of schedule rankings. The Crimson Tide come in pretty, pretty low.
Florida State has the toughest scheduled in the country, according to the CFB guru. The Seminoles have games against Virginia Tech, Miami, Clemson and Notre Dame, among others.
Nebraska, Michigan, Auburn and Texas A&M round out Steele's top five. A program that isn't anywhere close to the top of the rankings: Alabama.
The reigning national champions' 2018 schedule is easy, to say the least. Alabama opens the season on a neutral site against Louisville, which is a major program, but the Cardinals aren't expected to be too good in the absence of Lamar Jackson.
The Crimson Tide's other non-conference games come against Arkansas State, Louisiana and The Citadel. None of those teams are expected to do much of anything. Those games, surely, will be blowouts.
Here's the full schedule:
Alabama's schedule ranks No. 54 in the country according to Steele. It ranks low on ESPN's strength of schedule rankings, too.
