Alex Grinch will reportedly coach for a new team in 2018.

Washington State defensive coordinator Alex Grinch is reportedly heading to Ohio State as the Buckeyes co-defensive coordinator alongside Greg Schiano.

AnEleven Warriors user reported earlier that Grinch was listed in Ohio State's directory, but he was in there as "Director of High School Relations."

Bruce Feldman reports that Grinch has been hired, but as co-defensive coordinator.

Grinch is one of the hottest coaching assistants in the country, and was reportedly being courted by Nick Saban at Alabama as well. In three seasons with Grinch at the helm of the defense, WSU has gone from being outside of the top-100 in both scoring and yards per play to being in the top-50 for both.

He and Schiano provide a talented defensive coaching staff for Urban Meyer's Buckeyes.
