There are a couple of games this upcoming weekend with major College Football Playoff implications. But none are more pivotal than Saturday's game between LSU and Auburn.

The second-ranked Tigers host No. 9 Auburn at 3:30 p.m. ET from Tiger Stadium. An LSU win would move the Tigers to 8-0, setting up the biggest game of the year two weeks from this Saturday against No. 1 Alabama.

An Auburn loss on Saturday would most likely eliminate the Tigers from playoff contention. But a win would put them right back in the hunt.

Ahead of the pivotal SEC contest, the AP's Ralph Russo has revealed his prediction for the game. He's projecting a big time win for LSU.

Check out his prediction below.

No. 9 Auburn (plus 10½) at No. 2 LSU

Auburn is out to put an end to all that Game of the Century hype ... LSU 34-21.

LSU is currently a 10.5-point favorite entering Saturday's contest. Russo predicts the Tigers will cover, winning the game by 13 points.

We'll see how that prediction plays out following the game.

LSU's offense has been revitalized due to quarterback Joe Burrow. Oklahoma's Jalen Hurts has been this year's Heisman favorite for most of the season. But Burrow will have a chance to prove himself on Saturday.

Auburn's stout defensive line will have to generate pressure on the LSU QB to keep this game close. True freshman QB Bo Nix must avoid costly errors.

Auburn-LSU kicks off at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
