Syracuse football commit Anthony Red has reportedly suffered an unspeakable loss.

Red, a three-star offensive lineman in the 2019 class, reportedly lost his dad today. The father of the ACC commit reportedly collapsed on the sideline before a game and was later pronounced dead.

"Word has come down to STM sidelines that Anthony Red’s father, who collapsed pregame, has died. He’s being consoled on sidelines by teammates. Just awful," reports Sean Patrick Bowley.

Red was being consoled by his teammates before kickoff.

The Connecticut native later took to Twitter.

Red is ranked the No. 13 player in the state of Connecticut. Our thoughts are with him and his family at this difficult time. May his father rest in peace.
