One of the top linebackers in the country is off the board. Woodridge (Va.) four-star Antoine Sampah is LSU-bound.

Sampah announced his commitment to the Tigers moments ago on Twitter. LSU had to outlast some serious competition to land this prized recruit.

Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Miami, North Carolina, Ohio State, Penn State and Tennessee are just some of the programs that offered the 6-foot-3, 225-pound Sampah, who 247Sports compares to Cleveland Browns linebacker Christian Kirksey.

Sampah is the No. 2 inside linebacker, the No. 4 overall linebacker and the 32nd-overall prospect in the 2020 class, according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings.

With Sampah's commitment, LSU has now jumped Alabama for the top 2020 recruiting class. The Tigers held those honors until earlier tonight when the Tide took over the top spot momentarily. Alabama led the rankings for about a half an hour following the commitment of four-star linebacker Drew Sanders. Here's a look at LSU's 2020 class as it stands.

It is shaping up right now as a three-way race for the top spot between Alabama, Clemson and LSU.
