Air Force vs. South Alabama preview:
Remember when Mississippi State lost its home opener? Yeah, that was this South Alabama team that went into the Bulldogs home territory and brought the game to them. The Jaguars sat at 5-6 on the season and were in danger of missing out on a bowl game. However, they battled New Mexico State and fought their way into a bowl. Their reward? A very solid Air Force team.
It was a streaky season for Air Force that was highlighted by a few major wins. The Falcons opened the season with four straight wins, one of which came over Navy. Then Air Force lost three straight to less-than-stellar opponents. The Falcons righted the ship, however, as they won five straight games to close out the season, including the season finale against Boise State.
These two programs have never played each other before, so bragging rights are on the line.
