There is tragic news out of The College of New Jersey's football program today, as it's being reported that an assistant coach for the school has died in a car accident.

Donald Klein III, an assistant coach for the school's football team, passed away from a car crash, according to The Trentonian.

The assistant coach was in his Jeep when he veered off the road on I-195 and ended up hitting a tree at roughly 5 a.m. E.T.

Klein was only 37.

“I don't even know where to begin,” TCNJ head football Coach Casey Goff said, per the report. “Donny loved this sport and he loved this team. I honestly don't know what to say right now, we're all still trying to wrap our head around it.”

No other cars are believed to have been involved in the accident.

The crash is still under investigation by the police.

Rest in peace, Donald.
