Former Oklahoma star Baker Mayfield likely won't start his rookie season for the Cleveland Browns as the team's starting quarterback. But he seems to be fitting in with his new teammates just fine. It looks like he's changed his appearance a bit as well.

Mayfield this week was spotted on social media with a hefty beard. Mayfield has always sported facial hair, but the photo below makes it seems like he's taking cues from Brett Favre in the twilight of his career. It looks like he hasn't shaved in quite a few weeks.

Many are also making a Revenant joke, comparing him to Leonardo DiCaprio.

Mayfield, who won the Heisman Trophy this past December, is reportedly "not ready" to compete with Tyrod Taylor for the starting job just yet. A report from Browns camp suggested that while Mayfield has been putting in the time and effort, he likely won't be the team's starter this September.

That said, things can change. Deshaun Watson, a year ago, was not set to be the Houston Texans starting quarterback before the season began. One half of football into the year, he took over.

Mayfield was taken No. 1 overall in this past April's NFL Draft. Though undersized, he's viewed as an incredible competitor with solid accuracy and decent athleticism.

Mayfield will be tasked with turning around an 0-16 franchise. The beard is a great start.
