Baker Mayfield Made A Big Decision On His NFL Future On Tuesday

The former star Oklahoma quarterback made a big decision for his future.

It was reported earlier this month that Baker Mayfield might make a bold decision for his NFL future. The former star Oklahoma quarterback was considering not having an agent.

"The Heisman winner currently is trying to decide whether to hire an agent, and he possibly won’t," reported Liz Mullen of the Sports Business Journal.

Mayfield has made his decision - he's hiring an agent.

The potential first-round pick is going with a Colorado-based agency, Capital Sports Advisors.

"Confirming Boulder-based sports agency firm Capital Sports Advisors (Jack Mills, Tom Mills, Kevin Robinson are the partners) have signed up with QB Baker Mayfield," reports Mike Klis of Denver's 9News.

The agency, located in Boulder, Colo., also represents a couple of players who went to Colorado State.

Mayfield has had a couple of big NFL moments so far this month.

Earlier, it was reported that the NFL will allow Mayfield to attend the NFL Combine despite his arrest last February.

Pro Football Talk believes Mayfield's decision to hire an agent is a good one.

"Mayfield’s decision to hire an agency to represent him and guide him through the process certainly won’t hurt his draft stock. They will seek to help him by soothing character concerns teams might have about him," writes Charean Williams.
