Baylor vs. West Virginia preview:
Man, what the heck happened to Baylor? The Bears started off the season 6-0, and then half the team apparently fell into a ravine, because they’ve been getting blown out ever since. It’s bizarre. TCU, who don’t possess a prolific offense by any means, hung 62 on them. 62! Texas Tech brought in the No. 13 offense in the country into its game against Baylor and dropped 54 points on the lowly Bears.
The only teams West Virginia has lost to this season? Oklahoma State and Oklahoma, who are playing for the Big 12 title this weekend in Norman. The Mountaineers rattled off six straight wins to open the season, but has gone 3-2 in the past five games. West Virginia could finish the season with 10 wins, which would be a huge mark for Dana Holgorsen and the Mountaineers.
The Bears and Mountaineers have played four times in history, having split the series 2-2 over the past four years.
Baylor vs. West Virginia prediction:
Both teams field explosive offenses and very suspect defenses. This one will come down to which defense can limit the opposition to field goals, rather than touchdowns.
West Virginia, despite giving up over 430 yards per game, gives up only 23.6 points per game. Baylor's scoring defense? The Bears give up 31 points per game.
WVU takes it.
