The College Football Playoff field seems pretty obvious if Ohio State, LSU, Clemson and Oklahoma all win on Saturday. But if any slip up, it gets complicated.
One scenario many are discussing is the combination of Baylor upsetting Oklahoma and LSU squeaking by Georgia. The Bears would finish 12-1 with a Big 12 conference title while the Bulldogs would finish 11-2 with no conference title.
The argument, obviously, is that Georgia faced a better schedule and has better wins than Baylor. But ESPN’s Heather Dinich, who is as dialed in as anyone when it comes to the playoff, doesn’t even think the Bulldogs would get considered with two losses.
If she’s right, it’s likely because Georgia lost to 4-8 South Carolina.
I respectfully disagree with any speculation out there that a 2-loss uga would get any serious consideration this year.

The biggest issue for Baylor isn’t an LSU win – it’s an LSU loss. If Georgia wins, it will be almost certainly be placed into the four-team field. LSU might also still make it because they’d be a one-loss team with a number of incredible wins.
Baylor’s best bet is to beat Oklahoma and have Ohio State, LSU and Clemson all win. The Bears would likely get the No. 4 seed in that scenario.
Baylor vs. Oklahoma kicks off at Noon ET.
