Official: Big 12 Title Game To Be Played At AT&T Stadium From 2017-21

The Big 12 title game will be played in Arlington, Texas, starting next year.

According to Brett McMurphy of ESPN, the Big 12 title game will be played at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas from 2017-2021. Next year's contest will be the first title game for the Big 12 since 2010.

McMurphy first reported the news, and it should come as a surprise to no one. The Dallas Cowboys' stadium is a monument, not only in Arlington, but in all of Texas. The $1 billion stadium is state-of-the-art, and is a great spot to host the Big 12 title game.

As mentioned earlier, the game next year will be the first championship game to decide the winner of the Big 12 since 2010. Two years ago, both Baylor and TCU got left out of the College Football Playoff, and many thought a Big 12 title game would have put one of those two teams into the playoff.

Instead, Ohio State snuck into the playoff and ended up winning the whole thing.

The games between Oklahoma and West Virginia, and Oklahoma and Oklahoma State will decide the Big 12 champ this year.
