The Big Ten commissioner thinks two teams have locked up playoff berths.
Jim Delany, the Big Ten's commissioner, said on ESPN's College GameDay this morning that he believes two teams have locked up College Football Playoff berths.
"I think Alabama has done enough, Ohio State has done enough (to get playoff bid)," he said. "Two slots left for 3-4-5 teams."
Delany, previously a big proponent of only conference champions making the playoff, was adamant that he's no longer behind that, and is now OK with taking the four best teams.
You'd think that Washington has basically secured a playoff berth, too, so the only game that really matters today is the Clemson-Virginia Tech contest. If the Tigers get upset, the real debate begins.
