Bob Stoops Recently Bought A $2 Million House In Chicago

The now-former Oklahoma head coach is going to enjoy life.

Bob Stoops is retiring as Oklahoma's football coach because he's ready to move on with his life.

The 56-year-old coach had been with the Sooners for almost 20 years and he thinks it's time to truly enjoy the other things life has to offer.

Like, for example, the city of Chicago.

Stoops recently spent more than $2 million on a Chicago home.

The mansion sounds pretty great.

Now, through a limited liability company, Stoops and his wife have expanded their holdings with their new row home, which was rebuilt from the ground up in 2008. Built in 1886, the mansion has a greystone facade, 5½ baths, an elevator, a sunroom, a fourth-floor media room, a south-facing wall of windows, two fireplaces, stone baths and an au pair space on the lower level.

The row home first had been listed in late 2015 for $2.98 million and later was reduced to $2.885 million, $2.855 million, $2.795 million, $2.695 million and finally to just less than $2.5 million.

Good for Stoops.
