The Wolverines' quarterback commented on the addition of the former five-star recruit.

Shea Patterson's decision to transfer to Michigan isn't great for the playing time prospects of Brandon Peters and Dylan McCaffrey, the two talented young quarterbacks on the Wolverines' roster.

Jim Harbaugh has repeatedly said that nothing was promised to Patterson, though, and that he'll have to earn the starting job like everyone else.

Peters, Michigan's starting QB for multiple games in 2017 as a redshirt freshman, was asked about the addition of Patterson during an interview with the Detroit Free-Press.

Here's what he said.

“I don’t really care,” Peters told the Detroit Free Press. “It’s going to happen. At the NFL, the college level, you’re going to bring guys in.”

That's a good mindset to have.

Jim Harbaugh echoed his thoughts.

“If I was the mindset of Brandon Peters, I (would say) he’s the starting quarterback. And he should take this job, run with it (and think) nobody is going to take that away from him,” Harbaugh told reporters earlier this week.
