Brett McMurphy: Art Briles 'Could Be An Assistant' At Alabama Or Liberty

Could Art Briles find himself back in the college football ranks?

Art Briles is as radioactive a former coach as there is in college football.

After scandal plagued the ex-Baylor coach while he was in charge of the Bears, it looks like his coaching career is over. Briles had briefly signed with a CFL team before the team received pressure from sponsors to terminate the contract.

Will any football program dare to sign the controversial coach?

College football insider Brett McMurphy named two destination that Briles could potentially be an assistant at in the future.

I believe there are two schools where Briles could be an assistant: Alabama and Liberty.

McMurphy provides context, saying that he doesn't think Nick Saban would actually sign the former Baylor coach, but that Saban "has the power to bring him on board."

Liberty remains an option because the school's new athletic director, Ian McCaw, was Briles' boss when the two were at Baylor.
