Game by game, we're learning more about the College Football Playoff and New Year's Six pictures.

On Saturday, one of the major CFP contenders—Big Ten West power Wisconsin—went down at home against BYU. Many of the other teams most commonly picked for the playoff remain undefeated, though Washington lost in Week 1 to Auburn, which in turn lost to LSU in Week 3.

Stadium's Brett McMurphy was on the streaming service today to project some of those big games that will hit our screens on Jan. 1 2019.

The most notable inclusion: Ohio State football. He has the Buckeyes in the Rose Bowl, which means he does not see the team making the playoff.

Those four match-ups: Rose Bowl: Ohio State vs. Washington Sugar Bowl: West Virginia vs. Mississippi State Peach Bowl: Penn State vs. Notre Dame Fiesta Bowl: Stanford vs. UCF Another interesting exclusion is LSU, which McMurphy ranked third in his AP ballot this week, on the strength of the Tigers' two big ranked victories.

That leaves Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, and Oklahoma in some configuration, for a repeat of last year's College Football Playoff field. It isn't the most exciting field, but based on the start to this season, it definitely seems plausible.
