Brian Asamoah, a three-star Ohio linebacker, was set to commit on April 21, but after new developments in his recruitment, he's pushing back that decision date.
Asamoah announced the news via Twitter. He doesn't have a new date set at this time.
Back in February, Asamoah announced his top six schools: Cincinnati, Michigan, Penn State, Pitt, UCLA, and West Virginia. Those aren't the only schools after the nation's No. 45 outside linebacker, however. In recent weeks, Arizona State, Michigan State, Notre Dame, and Oklahoma are among the new programs that have come through with scholarship offers.
While he doesn't directly cite those new offers as the reason for pushing the decision back, it makes a ton of sense that he wants some time to further evaluate his opportunities.
247Sports ranks Asamoah as the No. 25 player in the state of Ohio, but it sounds like his recruitment is just about set to take off.
