Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly has given an update on the Fighting Irish's quarterback situation heading into Saturday's game at Wake Forest. Kind of.

Kelly was asked multiple times tonight who will be starting under center for Notre Dame on Saturday afternoon. All Kelly is saying is that both quarterbacks - Brandon Wimbush and Ian Book - will be playing.

"Asked Brian Kelly twice who’s starting at quarterback on Saturday. Twice he says both Brandon Wimbush and Ian Book will both play," Pete Sampson tweeted.

ESPN's "Stanford Steve" of Scott Van Pelt's SportsCenter reported on his podcast this week that he's hearing a change at quarterback is coming.

"Speaking of Notre Dame, I have a couple of sources telling me Mr. Book might be starting," he said. "Just throwing it out there."

"Why not?" Chris Fallica replied.

Wimbush has struggled to take care of the football in recent games, as the Fighting Irish's offense has been inconsistent at best. There have been many calling for a change at quarterback heading into this weekend's game.

Notre Dame and Wake Forest are set to kick off at 12 p.m. E.T. The game will be on ABC.
