Prominent College Football Writer Announces He’s Switching Jobs

Bruce Feldman, one of the top college football writers in the country, announced this morning that he is changing outlets.

Feldman, who had been working at Sports Illustrated and with Fox Sports and has written for ESPN in the past, will be joining The Athletic. Feldman confirmed the news this morning.

He is the latest in a slew of high-profile hires by the subscription-based website. which is building up its national coverage in all sports.

The Athletic has recently added prominent writers such as Ken Rosenthal and Rick Reilly and is also venturing into beat reporting. They're trying to cover all their bases.

In the ever-changing world of sports media, The Athletic and its model will be interesting to watch moving forward.

It certainly seems like they landed a big fish in Feldman, who has been covering college football for decades for various outlets and has published multiple books on the subject as well.
