Spring ball is in the books nationwide, and the next phase of the offseason is in swing. The 2019 college football season is roughly four months away.

Immediately after Clemson's resounding win over Alabama in the national championship game in January, several outlets unveiled way-too-early top 25 lists for 2019. Now, after a few months of recruiting additions, NFL Draft decisions and incoming and outgoing transfers, it is time to retool those sets of rankings.

CBS Sports' Dennis Dodd revealed his updated top 25 today. During the season, Dodd changes his rankings weekly.

Here is a look at the top 10 for Dodd, as of this afternoon:

  1. Clemson
  2. Alabama
  3. Georgia
  4. Oklahoma
  5. LSU
  6. Ohio State
  7. Florida
  8. Texas
  9. Michigan
  10. Oregon

As for The Spun's annual preseason top 25, it should be out sometime in June. We'll spare you some drama and say that Clemson and Alabama will be 1-2, but things might get interesting after that.

Is September here yet?
