Week 9 of the 2019 college football season is over and done, paving the way for a very interesting Week 10. CBS Sports has updated its college football top 10 to reflect the events of this past weekend.

LSU retained its spot as No. 1 in the nation. But Ohio State - following a 38-7 win over Wisconsin - leapfrogged Alabama to take over the No. 2 ranking.

Here is the full CBS top 10 via Dennis Dodd:

  1. LSU
  2. Ohio State
  3. Alabama
  4. Clemson
  5. Penn State
  6. Oregon
  7. Florida
  8. Georgia
  9. Utah
  10. Baylor

Oklahoma and Auburn fell out of the top 10 entirely after losses to Kansas State and LSU respectively. As a result, Utah and Baylor were inserted to replace them.

Next week's marquee top 10 matchup will be Florida vs. Georgia. So you can bet that the loser of that game - in addition to falling to two losses on the season - will drop out of the list next week.

Meanwhile, SMU (No. 13) and Minnesota (No. 14) have been creeping their way up the list all season. At 8-0 on the season, both teams will have golden opportunities to climb into the top 10 if they keep winning.

Falling off the list entirely was Texas, who suffered their third loss of the season on the road against TCU. With three losses on the year, two of which are in the Big 12, they'll likely need to beat some tough opposition to get into the Big 12 title game.
