Just over a month ago, the Clemson Tigers took down the Alabama Crimson Tide in the national title game. It was the second title for Dabo Swinney and company in the past three years.

Clemson and Alabama have combined for the past four national titles. With the 2019 recruiting cycle in the rearview, college football analyst Brett McMurphy took an early look at who can compete for a national title in 2019.

No surprise, both Clemson and Alabama remained top contenders heading into the new season. McMurphy revealed his picks for the College Football Playoff and the New Year's Six bowl games.

Here's the playoff foursome:

Peach Bowl: No. 1 Clemson vs. No. 4 Alabama

Fiesta Bowl: No. 2 Georgia vs. No. 3 Oklahoma

This would be a rematch of the 2017 playoff where Alabama took down Clemson in the semi final round before the Tide's comeback victory over Georgia with Tua Tagovailoa taking over for Jalen Hurts.

Hurts, now at Oklahoma, would have a chance to take down the Bulldogs in the semi final round and then face off against his former team.

A Tua Tagovailoa vs. Jalen Hurts match-up in the national title would be fun to watch.
