The first weekend of college football is three months away. We can't believe it is so close.

As far as Week 1 slate's go, this year's is stacked. We get Michigan-Notre Dame, LSU-Miami, Alabama-Louisville, Florida State-Virginia Tech and Auburn-Washington.

Pete Fiutak of College Football News has released his predictions for the top games of Week 1.

You can read all of Fiutak's picks here.

Below are his score predictions for the five big contests:

  • Washington 26, Auburn 24
  • Michigan 27, Notre Dame 17
  • Alabama 41, Louisville 13
  • LSU 23, Miami 20
  • Virginia Tech 23, Florida State 20

If those results play out, they will have a huge impact on the College Football Playoff chase. Miami, Auburn and Notre Dame will need to win out to have a shot at making the field.

We'll see you in three months for opening weekend.
