CFB Expert Releases Score Predictions For Week 5’s Biggest Games

Week 5 of the college football season is here. Just a quick glance at the schedule tells you there are multiple games with conference title and college football playoff implications.

Ohio State-Penn State and Notre Dame-Stanford are set for prime time on Saturday night. Both games feature top 10 teams battling each other.

There are three other matchups featuring two top-25 squads facing off. They are Oregon-Cal, BYU-Washington and West Virginia-Texas Tech.

As he does each week, Ralph Russo of the Associated Press released his score picks for Week 5. He picked more than 20 contests.

Here are Russo’s predictions for the big games:

  • Georgia 55, Tennessee 10
  • Clemson 48, Syracuse 21
  • Ohio State 34, Penn State 28
  • Ole Miss 31, LSU 28
  • Oklahoma 49, Baylor 24
  • West Virginia 45, Texas Tech 35
  • Notre Dame 27, Stanford 21
  • Washington 31, BYU 10
  • Michigan 30, Northwestern 13
  • Kentucky 27, South Carolina 20
  • Oregon 35, Cal 21
  • Texas 31, Kansas State 14
  • Mississippi State 31, Florida 10

Russo's upset special pick is Virginia Tech over Duke, though he is also taking Ole Miss to knock off No. 5 LSU. He is 2-2 when picking upsets this season.
