Week 9 of the college football season is here. This is the last weekend before the first College Football Playoff rankings are revealed.

There are a number of big games this week, most notably a top-10 showdown between Florida and Georgia. This year's matchup will be one of the juiciest in recent memory for the longtime rivals.

Additionally, there are matchups between ranked teams in the Big Ten (Iowa-Penn State) and Pac-12 (Washington State-Stanford).

As he does each week, Ralph Russo of the Associated Press released his score picks for Week 9. He picked more than 20 contests.

Here are Russo’s predictions for the big games:

  • Clemson 31, Florida State 14
  • Notre Dame 35, Navy 17
  • Oklahoma State 24, Texas 21
  • Georgia 23, Florida 17
  • Oklahoma 49, Kansas State 20
  • Missouri 24, Kentucky 21
  • Washington State 28, Stanford 24
  • Texas A&M 24, Mississippi State 21
  • Penn State 24, Iowa 23
  • NC State 27, Syracuse 24
  • Boston College 24, Miami 21
  • South Carolina 27, Tennessee 24

Russo’s “Upset Special” is unranked Oklahoma State over No. 6 Texas. Stillwater can be a tough place to play, so seeing the Cowboys pull this one out wouldn't be overly shocking.

For the year, Russo is 4-4 picking “Upset Specials.” He missed last week picking Oregon to top Washington State.
