Chandler Morris is a 2020 quarterback recruit from Texas, whose recruitment started to heat up over the past year. He is also the son of a prominent college football coach: Arkansas's Chad Morris.

Earlier this week, Chad Morris revealed he wasn't involved in his son's recruitment to the Razorbacks - but that doesn't mean he wasn't interested.

Arkansas offered the four-star quarterback recruit over a year ago, but it wasn't even the first program to do so.

Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers saw the talent and jumped, becoming the first Power-5 program to offer Morris. Despite Swinney's advancements, Morris decided family was bigger than anything else.

He took to Twitter on Friday afternoon to announce his commitment to Arkansas to play for his father.

"I want to thank my lord and savior Jesus Christ for putting me in the position I am in today. And a special thanks to my supportive family and coaches for pushing me to be the very best I can be on and off the field," Morris said.

"I am extremely excited to announce that I am committed to the University of Arkansas!"

Morris is the No. 10 dual-threat quarterback in the 2020 class, according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings.

He'll go to work for a familiar face after his senior season.
