On Saturday afternoon, the No. 4 defensive end recruit in the country took to Twitter to announce his commitment.
Four-star defensive end Chantz Williams revealed where he’ll be playing his collegiate football.
Williams is headed to the University of Miami to play for the Hurricanes.
Head coach Manny Diaz has put on a recruiting clinic since taking over the program following the 2018 college football season.
He landed yet another top recruit in Williams.
Here’s the announcement from the 6-foot-4, 240-pound defensive end.
“I want to announce that my recruitment is hereby closed! I am extremely happy to announce that I will be committing to play football and continue my academic career at the University of Miami,” Williams said in a statement.

Earlier in his recruitment process, Williams revealed he and a high school teammate, offensive lineman Jalen Rivers, were a package deal.
Rivers took his talents to Miami in early June so it was just a matter of time before Williams followed suit.
Before Williams’ commitment, the Hurricanes owned the No. 10 recruiting class in the country. Manny Diaz and company also sit in second in the ACC behind Clemson – which is on pace to bring in the highest-rated class in history.
Not bad for his first season in charge of the Hurricanes program.
